In this training you’ll gain the knowledge and skills needed to lead interesting and integrated yoga classes with confidence and finesse. Guided by an approach that is process-oriented and intelligent, you’ll lay a foundation that allows you tap into your innate creativity while staying grounded in the fundamentals of yoga.

Where You’re At

  • A recent YTT grad who is still unclear about how to create and teach a class sequence

  • A current YTT student keen to explore and advance in their sequencing knowledge

  • A yoga teacher with some experience, wanting to grow your confidence and student base

  • A seasoned yoga teacher ready to take your classes to the next level and expand your following

  • Interested in becoming a Rare Method teacher – this program is Level 1 of RMTT.

Part One: Essentials

  • • Understanding the essence and evolution of vinyasa yoga

    • Refresher on traditional Sun Salutations A + B

  • • Harnessing and cultivating the vibe of a class through timing, rhythm, cueing and breath pace

  • • Introduction to Sun Salutation C and adaptations

  • • Class Mapping: defining the route of your class

    • Orienting towards and staying the course towards specific outcomes

    • Integrating warm-up and counter-pose sequences

  • • Brainstorm and explore different themes to draw upon

    • How to access, sustain and deliver cohesive themes

  • • Practice class building and sequencing delivery

Part Two: Integrate + Elevate

  • • Crafting fluid, practical and safe transitions

  • • Deconstructing and reconstructing asana and sequences

    • Build intentionally and intelligently towards the peak of your pose and your class

  • • Counter shapes and effective physical and energetic closure

  • • Reading and working with the energy of a room

    • Brief overview of the central nervous system

    • Bhav: Creating Energetic Themes

    • Environmental and elemental curation with volume, lighting and sound

  • • Concise, effective and efficient cueing

    • Trauma informed language

    • Holding space, not expectations

  • • Speaking from within and drawing on what’s real to you

    • Connecting with your values and your unique voice

  • • Exploring when and where to break the rules

Logistics

  • This training will be held digitally on ZOOM in a series of 13 modules beginning in July and ending in July, 2024.

    Modules will be available on-demand for a limited time after the live training has completed.

  • Modules will be held twice per week, with some exceptions. Times will be announced closer to the date. Please keep in mind though your attendance to the live digital classes are recommended, it’s not required for all modules. You will have access to on-demand content for a limited time post-recording.

  • Tuition Includes: instruction, limited time access to on-demand content library.

    Investment:

    Tier 1: $875 if booked before May 1/24

    Tier 2: $1050, if booked before May 15/24

    Tier 3: $1250, if booked after May 15/24
